A Piece of Santorini in Thailand

Hola Deffa Here !!!

"There is Santorini in Thailand" said my friend Sari Suwito retweeting my post about me going to Thailand. That made me curious, is there really Santorini in Thailand ? What kind of Santorini ?

To be exact this Santorini called Santorini Water Fantasy Park. It is located in Cha Am in Pethacburi Province near Bangkok, just 2 hours drive from Victory Monument in Bangkok.

What made this place special that been called Thailand Santorini, by my research on Google Images, this place consist of Building Structure that resemble the one in Greece. You know the stacked building on each other and the White dominant color on it. Well it look like this

I went here in April 30th 2015, yes its kind of a long time ago, but I think you would find this rather informative if you are going there.

How to go to Santorini Park from Bangkok ?
  1. Take a Shuttle Mini Van from Victory Monument
  2. Take the route to Cha Am for 160 baht
  3. The Mini Van company called Pattaya Van (Don't worry they have the route to Cha Am)
  4. Tell the driver you are going to get off at Santorini Park (because its on a Highway)
  5. Its a 2 hours drive, so when you are near the Santorini Park the driver will drop you in front of it

The Entrance Fee for Foreigner Visitor is 150 Baht. But take note this is on 2015 maybe there is chance the fare has increased now.

When I entered the Park, I am really amazed by the White Dominant Color on the Building Architecture. I haven't go to Santorini in Greece so I guess this Santorini suffice me. Well not really resemble the one in Santorini but close enough without the Sea (but they have waterpark in the back so it is water anyway :P )

And in some part of the Park they have kind of good looking Hanging Garden on The Wall. Well I think its a good spot for Photo

Basically these building is used for Cafe, Souvenir Shop and other stuff, and also they have Adidas Store here. And on the back side of this park they also have Waterpark to swim, but I didn't go there because of the time.

Yup there you go The Thailand version of Santorini, the building is a little bit resemble the one in Greece, this is a good spot for taking a Santorini Theme Photo.

How do you go back to Bangkok from Santorini Park / Cha Am ?
  1. Take a cab at Santorini Park to Cha Am Central (they don't have public transportation)
  2. At the fist big Intersection there is Pattaya Van Stop in one of the building on the right (if you are from Santorini)
  3. Purchase the ticket there for 160 baht and wait (usually the van is from Hua Hin)
  4. Its 2 hours drive to Victory Monument in Bangkok

I suggest if you are going here, make your next destination is Hua Hin, you can explore Cha Am in one day trip, they also have Cha Am Beach (not worth i might say) and Jetty Stone Cha Am (worth). And after that straight to Hua Hin only 30 minutes or less, using the same Pattaya Van from the same Stop above, only pay like 50 baht.
