I want to share the thing I did back in November 2014. I visited Tokyo in Japan for the first time. However, it's not the trip that I want to share rather than on How Easy It Is To Apply for Japan Visa
Yes, it's not a question, its a statement from me and maybe others who already experienced Applying Japan Visa by themselves. Yup I am not using any Travel Agents help on this one. So, I am gonna tell you step by step on How to Apply Japan Visa, The Easy Way.
Step 1: Required Documents to Apply Temporary Holiday Visitor's Visa
These are the required documents you must fulfil to apply temporary holiday visitor's visa with own cost:- Passport (Max 6 month before expired)
- Visa Application Form (Download Here) & Photograph (4.5 cm X 4.5 cm)
- Copy of KTP or KITAS
- Copy of Student Card (Only if you are still registered as a Student / College Student)
- Flight itinerary issued by a travel agency or airline office
- Itinerary with information on places you plan to visit (Download Here)
- Copy of Hotel / Hostel Receipt on where you gonna stay
- Copy of documents certifying the relationship between each applicant, such as family registration card, etc (for group applicants only)
- Proof of sufficient funds to defray all the expenses while in Japan
- If your relative/friend in Indonesia or organization/institution where you belong is paying for your trip.
- Copy of bankbook/bank statement for recent 3 months (if you are not paying for your trip, you must submit documents certifying the relationship between you and the one who pays for your trip as well)
Step 2: Tips on How To Write Itinerary Application
The thing you need to know when writing your itinerary application is you don't need to write it in detail. Just the major info of your itinerary but with a fixed place to stay (Hotel / Hostel), complete with its addresses. Here is an example from my friend Sabar Setiawan Itinerary Application:
Step 3: Tips How Much Money You Should Have On Your Bank Account
Of course, this one is your main attention, right? But you know what, I asked one of the officers at the embassy about this and here's his reply:What he said "There is no fixed limit balance of Money for the Bank Statement, but the important part is that your bank account Cash Flow is good for the past 3 months. But if you have a big balance on your bank account but on the past 3 months it's static (no movement), cannot guarantee it will be approved".
And he added, "Last month there is one person applied with only 1 million rupiahs in his bank account, but for the past 3 months his Cash Flow is good, so the Visa Approved".
Well there you go so there is No Fixed Limit Amount of Money for The Bank Account. I think if you are an employee or an entrepreneur, has money come and go to your bank account every month, that will be good.

Step 6: Tips
Here are a few tips for applying for Japan Visa :- Try to arrange the documents in Step 1 by their respective order from 1-9.
- For the photograph, you need to really pay attention to the size 4.5 x 4.5 cm. It's matter.
- Arrive earlier before 09.00 AM because every day it's crowded.
- Formal dress.
- The Visa valid for 3 months of use and 15 - 90 days stay in Japan (you need to be specific on how many days you are going to stay in your application form and itinerary, in order to receive more than 15 days visa).
There you go, from my experiences, applying Japan Visa is one of the easiest Visa application than other countries. Maybe, because recently they opened Free Visa for Indonesian E-Passport. I already applied twice so I had travelled to Japan twice
