When you type on Floating Market in Google Search some big name like Bangkok, Pattaya will be the first one on the list. But did you know Indonesia also have what they called Floating Market ?
Yes, we had it. The Traditional Floating Market you will find it at Kalimantan Province in the stream of Martapura River called Lok Baintan Floating Market, to be precise in Banjar, South Kalimantan.
But right now I am not talking abot the on in Kalimantan, but instead the one in Lembang, Kab. Bandung. That has the much modern Floating Market, the same as the one in Pattaya, Thailand.
It is called Floating Market Lembang. As the name implied, its located in Jalan Grand Hotel no. 33E, Lembang, Kab. Bandung, West Java, Indonesia.
Preaty easy to reach here from Bandung City just drive up North where Lembang City is located and just follow the road to Jalan Grand Hotel, eventually you will meet the Entrance to this place at the Left Side of the road. On Google Map just Type in Floating Market Lembang
The entrance fee are:
- IDR 20.000 / person
- IDR 10.000 / car
- IDR 5.000 / motorcycle
Oh yeah the food here cost around IDR 10.000 - 50.000. But there is a catch, they have their own Payment System which is using Coins. So you need to exchange the IDR into the Coins. The currency is similar, which is IDR 5.000 = Coins 5.000
Well if you happens to visit Bandung, try Lembang and visit here because its way cheaper than the one in Pattaya of course. And here is the video of Floating Market Lembang that I made
Hope it was useful and please share it :)
