How To Read MRT Singapore Map

Hola Deffa Here !!!

Singapore is still one of Indonesian favorite abroad destination to visit. So the main transportation there is MRT Train will be the main topic that you need to know on how to use it.

This time I would like to give a Tips on How To Use MRT Singapore, its quite easy actually. But i will try to provide step by step for the first timer to visit Singapore. Here goes

How To Read MRT Map

First thing first, before on board an MRT, you need to understand on how to read a Map, this time the MRT Singapore Map. Actually kind of tricky here but its depend on your sense of direction. This is my method on how to read the map the easy way
  1. Always check and aware of your position on where you are at the time, you can see it on your left or right, there must be a sign board for you to read of where you are right now
  2. After you can confirm your current location, now you may start reading the map and watch the nearest MRT Station, for example you are in Bugis Junction so the nearest station is Bugis MRT Station.
  3. Choose your destination, example Bugis to Marina Bay
  4. MRT Singapore consist of different Lines which can be distinguished by Colors, they are Red, Purple, Green, Yellow (Circle Line), Blue (Downtown Line)
  5. On the Line watch closely the beginning and the end of the Line, let see for example the beginning of Green Line is Pasir Ris and the end is Joo Koon
  6. So if you want to go to Marina Bay from Bugis, that means you will have to go through Two Lines. Because Marina Bay is on the Red Line, mean while Bugis is on the Green Line. The logic thinking that we needed to change train on someplace right. Watch the map closely there are Stations that the Lines is next to each other such as City Hall Station and Raffless Place Station. This is where we go off and change train to the Red Line of Marina Bay
  7. The things above is also working on some Interchange Stations (Transit Stations) such as Tanah Merah, Dhoby Ghaut, Jurong East, Serangoon, etc.
So thats it hope you find it useful and please share it :)
